1. Are your products as what you claim them to be?
Yes! Our products have no chemicals, no parabens, no preservatives, no extras and definitely no nasties. All our products are made of natural botanical ingredients or their derivatives. And we definitely do not test on animals.
2. How do I store your products?
Because our products are free of preservatives and additives, they do require a little bit of care.
Please avoid introducing water or any form of moisture into the product.
Our products should be stored in a cool, dry place and away from moisture and direct sunlight.
3. How long do your products last?
We recommend the products to be used within 6 months because the products are free of chemicals and preservatives. Some of our products are made with ingredients that act as a preservative and others are made with dry powders or have no water added to them.
Ideally, we recommend that our products be used within 3 months for maximum freshness.
4. Help! I may be allergic to one or more of your other ingredients/ I am pregnant / breast feeding.
All ingredients are clearly labelled for each product. Please check through our ingredient list on each product carefully and throughly before placing an order. However, please note that our products are handcrafted in the same place as nuts/grains and/or their derivatives are processed and/or utilised.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding, please check with your doctor before using our products as some of them contain pure botanical oils that could be contraindicated in pregnancy/during breast feeding.
If you are unsure or would like to clarify, please contact us through the 'Contact Us' page and we will see how we can help you!
5. What sort of packaging do you use?
One of our principles here at The Botanic Body is to use ethical, sustainable and eco-friendly packaging.
As such, our products are either packaged in bio-degradable pouches or glass bottles/jars.
Moving forward, due to safety reasons, we are looking to change our glass jars used in our body butters and polishes to reusable and recyclable plastic jars - not single use plastic. This is due to the potential damage during shipping and more importantly, the jars being used in wet areas such as the shower. The last thing we want is for anyone of you to get hurt by the jars slipping out of your hands and shattering.
